Claude Duet

Claude Duet is a personal AI agent from Anthropic, built for professionals and small business owners. It sends a morning brief from your connected apps, checks them every few hours and messages you only when something needs you. You can hand it tasks by text or voice in one ongoing thread, from scheduling a meeting to building a dashboard or a deck. It works on its own cloud computer, so your devices can stay off, and it waits for your approval before it sends, pays, signs or deletes anything. Anthropic opened a research preview on October 21, 2026, by waitlist for US Claude Pro and Max subscribers. This is an early profile based on Anthropic's official pages, not hands-on testing; we will update it as access widens.

How do I get Claude Duet?

Join the waitlist on claude.com. The research preview starts with Claude Pro and Max subscribers in the US, and Anthropic emails you when it is ready for you. Team and Enterprise plans are not included yet.

How much does Claude Duet cost?

There is no separate price during the research preview. It is included in Claude Pro ($20 a month, or $17 billed annually) and Max ($100 or $200 a month), and it shares your plan's usage limits. Its background checks count toward those limits, and large tasks use more.

How is Claude Duet different from the Claude app?

The Claude app waits for you to open a chat. Claude Duet comes to you: it sends a morning brief, takes tasks by message and reaches out when one is done or needs your approval. It uses your Claude account's memory, skills and connectors, but for now it is a separate app.

What can Claude Duet do?

Anthropic's examples include finding missed Gmail and Slack messages and drafting replies, checking QuickBooks or Stripe for unpaid invoices, preparing payroll in Gusto, getting contracts ready in Docusign, and building dashboards, forecasts, decks and web apps. It can also buy things through Stripe's Link with a virtual card, or check out with Shop Pay, after you approve.
