What it does
Draper is a web app from a three-person Sydney company that walks one person from a business idea to first customers. Work happens in an ordered path of workshops: an Idea Summary interview, a Business Plan that researches the idea against live social data and gives a sourced verdict, then brand, product, customer, website and ad workshops. An open chat called the Chairman answers questions using what the workshops produced. It is aimed at people building a product business alongside a full-time job, mainly physical goods.

- Ordered workshop path. A fixed sequence of workshops, each meant to be finished in one sitting with a defined output. Workshops unlock in order, and each one says what it covers and roughly how long it takes before you start. Official source 1 ↗
- Idea Summary interview. The first workshop is a guided conversation that writes the idea down. A skill, interest or recurring problem is enough to start; Draper helps narrow it into something testable. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
- Business Plan with live research. The Business Plan workshop challenges the idea's assumptions and researches them. Draper says its research uses live social data to report what people are saying about the idea and current opportunities, with sources. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗ · Official source 3 ↗
- Brand, product and website workshops. Paid workshops cover brand, positioning and voice, product design, the target customer and a website with a mailing list. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
- Live ad tests for first sign-ups. The last stage runs live ads to test demand and collect first sign-ups. The site does not say which ad networks are used or how ad spend is paid. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
- The Chairman chat. An open chat for questions outside the workshops, such as market demand, competitors, sentiment and partners. It can read workshop outputs and unlocks after the Business Plan is finished. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
- Bring existing work. If you already have a business plan, research or customer work, paste it into the matching workshop; Draper asks only about the gaps. Official source 1 ↗
- Separate workspaces per idea. Each idea gets its own workspace and path, and several can run at once to compare directions. Old workspaces are kept when you start over. Official source 1 ↗
