What it does

Gleap is a help desk for software companies, run by Gleap GmbH in Austria, built around four AI agents. Kai Support answers customers from your knowledge with citations; Kai Resolve investigates hard tickets using screen recordings, logs and read-only code access; Kai PM deduplicates and scores feature requests; and Kai Code turns confirmed bugs or approved requests into pull requests your engineers review and merge. Around the agents sit a shared inbox, live chat, in-app bug reporting, a help center, a public roadmap, surveys and outbound messaging, plus native integrations and an MCP server.

Features

  • Kai Support AI agent with cited answers. Kai Support answers customer questions from snippets, websites, help articles, files, API data sources, code repositories, changelog posts, Notion pages and YouTube videos, lists the articles it used and hands the rest to your team with the whole thread. On Team and up it can call your APIs, MCP servers and Composio apps as tools. Official source 1 ↗
  • Kai Copilot drafts for agents. Inside each ticket, Kai Copilot drafts a reply from your knowledge and similar past tickets and stages it in the composer; a teammate edits and sends, and the copilot never messages the customer. It is included at no extra charge from Team. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Kai Resolve ticket investigations. Kai Resolve investigates the tickets Kai Support cannot answer using SDK-captured device data, console and network logs, the click trail, screen recording, data sources via MCP and repositories cloned read-only into a sandbox. It classifies each ticket as answerable, bug, feature request, needs more info or inconclusive, with confidence and file-level evidence, and never commits or pushes. Official source 1 ↗
  • Automatic bug-report triage. With Analyze bug reports first turned on, every new bug report from the Gleap widget is investigated by Kai Resolve before it reaches the inbox and arrives classified with confidence and evidence; feature requests subscribe the customer to the existing request. Official source 1 ↗
  • Kai Code pull requests from tickets. Kai Code turns a ticket, bug report or approved feature request into a planned change and a pull request kept in the ticket. It works with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket and Azure DevOps, can span several repositories, and does not merge or deploy. Official source 1 ↗
  • Kai Code Cloud, Bridge or your own coding tool. Kai Code can run in Gleap's hosted environment, on your own computer or server through Kai Code Bridge with your Claude Code, Codex or Cursor login, or via a deep link that opens the ticket in those tools and reports progress back over the Gleap MCP server. Bridge sessions can start a branch preview on the paired machine. Official source 1 ↗
  • Fixes for Lovable, Replit, v0 and Base44 apps. For apps built on Lovable, Replit, v0 or Base44, Kai Code needs no repository: it connects through the platform's official MCP server or API and asks that platform's agent to make the change, publishing only if your team switches on Kai may publish. Official source 1 ↗
  • Kai PM feature-request scoring. Kai PM finds duplicate feature requests, scores each one against demand, revenue, strategic alignment and effort with weights you set, and answers questions about the backlog. With Let Kai decide (on by default for new projects) it also accepts, merges or declines new requests with a reply to the submitter. Official source 1 ↗
  • Customer follow-up after the fix ships. After a fix is merged, the default flow asks a teammate to confirm it is live before Gleap sends the update on the original ticket; alternatively a message can be scheduled after a delay from merge, or replies kept manual. Official source 1 ↗
  • In-app bug reporting and session replay. Customers report bugs from your app or website with a screenshot, console logs and custom data on every plan; session replay is added from Team. Official source 1 ↗
  • Help center, roadmap, surveys and outbound messaging. From Team, the same workspace includes a public help center, feature requests with votes and a public roadmap, changelogs, in-app surveys with AI insights, and outbound product tours, checklists, banners, in-app messages, email and push. Official source 1 ↗
  • Integrations, MCP and migration imports. Gleap has 34 native integrations (issue trackers such as Jira, Linear and GitHub, Slack and Teams notifications, HubSpot, Salesforce and Stripe context, Zendesk handoff, Zapier and webhooks), and agents can use MCP servers and 900+ Composio apps from Team. Tickets and contacts can be imported from Intercom, Zendesk, Freshdesk and HubSpot. Official source 1 ↗

Billing details

Annual prices are the monthly equivalent billed yearly, which works out to two months free. Self-serve plans are paid in advance through Paddle as reseller; invoice billing is Enterprise-only. Prices exclude VAT and other taxes, and the billing currency (USD, EUR or GBP) is set by your location. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗

A Kai Support resolution ($0.29 / €0.29 / £0.25) is a conversation Kai Support answered where the customer did not ask for a human within 72 hours and Gleap's review confirms it resolved the issue. Each conversation is charged at most once, hand-offs to your team are free, and nothing is included on Starter. Official source 1 ↗

Kai Resolve, Kai Code Cloud, Kai PM, custom agents and AI workflow steps bill by the tokens the model uses at the provider's rate plus Gleap's margin; an investigation averages about $0.49, and a code investigation bills as Kai Code usage. Kai Code Bridge sessions on your own coding subscription are not billed by Gleap. Support customers can ask to switch Kai Support to token-based pricing during the trial. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗

Usage-based AI is paid from one prepaid balance per organization. Auto-recharge is on by default and tops up from your card when the balance runs low; added funds do not expire, and with auto-recharge off the agents pause at zero. Official source 1 ↗

Customer emails above the plan allowance cost $2 / €2 / £2 per 1,000 on the subscription invoice, Kai Voice calls (Pro and Enterprise) are billed per minute from the AI balance, and YouTube video analysis is billed by tokens within a monthly allowance. Official source 1 ↗

The 7-day trial needs a valid payment method and converts to the selected paid plan on day 8 unless cancelled; if the workspace is not live by day 6 the trial is extended once by 7 days. It can be used once per person and once per company. Official source 1 ↗

Refunds are discretionary, generally only for extenuating circumstances such as technical issues, must be requested within 7 days of the initial purchase and are prorated; yearly plans are prorated at the non-discounted fee. Cancelling ends access at the end of the current billing period. Official source 1 ↗

Eligible early-stage startups can get 50% off Team or Pro for 12 months. Official source 1 ↗

Free access & limits

Gleap has no free plan. A workspace without an active trial or paid subscription is read-only until a plan is purchased, though configuration and data are kept. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗

During the 7-day trial, 50 Kai Support conversations are included and never charged, and a trial credit of up to $50 / €50 / £50 covers Kai Resolve, Kai Code, Kai PM, custom agents, workflow steps and Kai Voice; when it runs out those agents pause until you subscribe, and top-ups are not available. Official source 1 ↗

Trial YouTube learning is capped at 1 hour of video, with videos up to 30 minutes, one at a time. Cancelling during the trial makes the workspace read-only and removes the remaining trial credit. Official source 1 ↗

Best for & limitations

A SaaS team can put Kai Support on its chat widget as first-level support, answering how-to and account questions from its docs and website, linking feature requests and filing bug reports with session details for the team. Official source 1 ↗

A product team can close the loop from bug report to shipped fix: Kai Resolve investigates, a teammate hands the confirmed bug to Kai Code, engineers review the pull request, and the customer hears back in the same conversation. Official source 1 ↗

Product managers can rank incoming feature requests by demand, revenue, strategic alignment and effort, then hand an approved request to Kai Code; voters hear back when it is released. Official source 1 ↗

Makers of apps built on Lovable, Replit, v0 or Base44 can have Kai Code ask the platform's own agent for a customer-reported fix, with Gleap following up with the customer once the change is published. Official source 1 ↗

Teams moving off Intercom, Zendesk or Freshdesk can import tickets and contacts, bring over help center articles and replace their existing chat widget on web and mobile. Official source 1 ↗

  • Business customers only, no free plan, card required for the trial. The terms require customers to be a business entity. There is no free plan, and the 7-day trial needs a payment method and converts to a paid plan unless cancelled. Official source 1 ↗
  • AI costs are metered on top of the subscription. Apart from Kai Support's fixed per-resolution price, the team agents have no fixed price and cost depends on the work each run takes. Auto-recharge is on by default, and stopping top-ups does not stop AI processing while the balance lasts. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗ · Official source 3 ↗
  • Starter is a one-seat, chat-only tier. Starter has one seat and one project, covers live chat only (no email or messaging channels), has no API keys, webhooks, MCP access or integrations, excludes the other agents and shows Powered by Gleap branding. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗ · Official source 3 ↗
  • Model choice, SSO and the SOC 2 report are gated to higher tiers. Gleap picks the model for Kai Support and Kai Resolve; choosing models for Kai Code, custom agents and workflow steps needs Pro. Single sign-on is Enterprise-only, the SOC 2 Type II report is shared only with Pro and Enterprise customers under NDA, and bring-your-own-model is by Enterprise agreement. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗ · Official source 3 ↗
  • No standard HIPAA BAA. Gleap does not publish a standard HIPAA Business Associate Agreement and allows health data only when expressly agreed in writing. Official source 1 ↗
  • Data residency does not cover AI and other processing. EU or US residency applies to customer databases, files and backups; AI, email, integrations and other providers may process data outside the selected region. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Downgrades switch features off immediately. Moving to a plan without a feature stops agents, Kai Voice, API keys, webhooks, MCP, integration syncs and outbound messages right away; on Starter only the owner keeps access and the oldest project stays active. Official source 1 ↗
  • Kai Code Cloud sessions have no branch preview. Branch previews and Kai Code's self-check in a running app work only on Kai Code Bridge sessions; Cloud sessions have no preview, and with Bridge your coding provider's limits apply. Official source 1 ↗
