What it does

Pasta (App Store name Train with Pasta) is an AI personal trainer for iPhone. You ask for a workout by voice or text, and it builds a full session with exercises, sets, reps and rest, then reads out every set and rest so you can train hands-free. It also writes multi-week training plans around the days you can train, and produces a weekly report from Apple Health data. Workouts are generated with Apple Intelligence; there is no account, and training data stays on the device. It is made by AI OR DIE PTE. LTD. in Singapore and was released on 14 October 2026.

Features

  • Workouts on request. Hold to talk or type a request such as "thirty minutes, upper body, dumbbells only" and Pasta builds a full session with exercises, sets, reps and rest. Ask it to change something, such as swapping an exercise, and it rewrites the session. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Workouts from links. Paste a link to a workout on YouTube or a webpage and Pasta turns it into a session when it can. The page is fetched from your device. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Hands-free voice coaching. Once you press play, Pasta reads out every set and rest, including weights, reps, rest time and your current heart rate zone, so the phone can stay in your bag. Official source 1 ↗
  • Timer everywhere. The workout timer shows on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island, in widgets and on Apple Watch, and keeps running with the phone locked or another app open. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Multi-week training plans. Tell Pasta your goal, such as a half marathon, a Hyrox race or a bigger deadlift, and it writes several weeks around the days you can train, starting from weights you have lifted. Plans with no end date continue with a lighter week every fourth week. Official source 1 ↗
  • Live heart rate and zones. Heart rate shows live from Apple Watch or a Bluetooth chest strap such as the Polar H10, Garmin HRM-Pro Plus or Wahoo TICKR; afterwards you see minutes in each zone. Fitbit and other trackers work through Apple Health. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Insights, readiness and weekly report. Insights adds heart-rate zones, active minutes, training load and a daily readiness check from your latest HRV, resting heart rate and sleep. A weekly one-page report shows records, resting heart rate, sleep and an estimated VO2 max. Official source 1 ↗
  • Apple Health and Siri. Workouts save to Apple Health and count toward your Activity rings. Siri can tell you what is on today and whether you are ready to train. Official source 1 ↗
  • Exercise library. 873 exercises with instructions, and technique videos for the common ones. Official source 1 ↗
  • On-device AI and no account. Workouts and plans are generated with Apple's on-device and Private Cloud Compute models, and requests are never sent to Pasta's servers. Voice input is transcribed on the device. There is no account, no ads and no tracking, and training data is stored locally. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗

Best for & limitations

Getting a quick gym session for the time and equipment you have, such as 30 minutes of upper body with dumbbells, and following it by voice without looking at the phone. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗

Training toward an event or strength goal, such as a half marathon, a Hyrox race or a bigger deadlift, with a weekly plan built around your available days. Official source 1 ↗

Turning a workout found on YouTube or a webpage into a guided session. Official source 1 ↗

  • Recent iPhones only. Pasta needs an iPhone with Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer) on iOS 27 or later. Official pages list no Android, iPad or Mac app; the desktop site only builds workouts to send to the iPhone app. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • English only. The press fact sheet lists English as the only language. Official source 1 ↗
  • Not medical advice; AI can be wrong. Pasta states it does not give medical advice. AI-generated exercises, loads or plans may not suit you, so suggestions should be reviewed and scaled to your level. Official source 1 ↗
  • Link import is best effort. Pasted YouTube or webpage workouts are converted only when Pasta can read them. Official source 1 ↗
  • No direct Google or Fitbit connection. Fitbit and Google data reach Pasta only if their own apps write it into Apple Health. Official source 1 ↗
  • Data kept only on device. There is no account system and no server copy of training data; it is only preserved in your own device backup. Official source 1 ↗
