What it does

Mindsera is an AI journal that analyses your thoughts, detects emotions and reveals patterns over time, aimed at mental health, mindset and thinking skills. It launched in March 2023 and is run as an independent company.

Features

  • Three ways to journal. Write, speak or photograph a page of your paper journal and Mindsera extracts the text. Voice entries can be retranscribed or kept raw or refined. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Follow-up questions and Minds comments. An AI companion that knows your past entries asks follow-up questions, and 'Minds' — personas you pick or create — highlight parts of your writing and comment on them. Official source 1 ↗
  • Deep Analysis of the whole journal. Insights across all entries: emotions based on Plutchik's framework, a Big Five personality analysis, recurring topics and personalised suggestions. Official source 1 ↗
  • Ask Your Journal. A chat that answers questions about your own entries, using suggested or custom prompts. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Mental-model writing frameworks. 50+ guided templates such as First Principles Thinking, Anti-Goals, Regret Minimization, Ikigai and a Daily Review, plus custom frameworks and morning and evening rituals. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini (MCP). Premium users can connect their journal to AI assistants through MCP to reflect on past weeks, search entries by meaning and draft new entries, with read and write permissions chosen separately. Official source 1 ↗
  • Artwork and weekly review. Each analysed entry can generate an original artwork, and a weekly email summarises your thoughts and emotions. Official source 1 ↗
