What it does
TarkoAI is an AI study app for Indian CBSE students in Classes 8–12, covering science and maths. You snap handwritten notes, upload a PDF, paste a YouTube link or pick an NCERT chapter, and it turns that material into a narrated video lesson, a two-voice podcast, a mind map, quizzes, flashcards, summary notes, a board-pattern practice paper or a spoken viva-style test. It also builds a day-by-day exam plan up to a test date and answers questions in English, Hindi or Hinglish. It is run by ParakeetAI d.o.o., a company registered in Slovenia.

- Notes to video lessons and podcasts. From your notes or an NCERT chapter, Tarko makes a video lesson of about 5 minutes that explains a topic aloud while drawing formulas and graphs, or a podcast of about 10 minutes with two hosts and a transcript. Both are Pro tools and take about 20 seconds to generate. Official source 1 ↗
- Quizzes, flashcards, summaries and mind maps. Quizzes of 5–20 questions explain every answer, flashcards resurface when you start to forget them, summary notes cut a chapter down to 1–3 pages, and a mind map links the ideas of a whole chapter. Quiz, flashcards and summary can be tried on the free plan; mind maps are Pro. Official source 1 ↗
- CBSE-pattern practice papers and oral tests. Practice papers are full timed papers in the CBSE board pattern, either 30 minutes or 3 hours. The oral test asks 5 or 10 questions aloud and you answer by speaking, like a viva. Both are Pro. Official source 1 ↗
- Day-by-day exam prep plan. Enter the exam and its date, and Tarko splits the chapter into daily steps of about 20 minutes (lessons, flashcards, quizzes, videos), reshuffles the plan when you miss a day, sends you back to the lesson for ideas you got wrong, and ends with a timed, marked board-style test. - Student-shared previous year papers (PYQs). Add one old test you sat (photos or a PDF up to 12 pages) and Tarko blacks out names, roll numbers and signatures before others can see its questions. That unlocks a bank of other schools' tests and CBSE board papers: Free opens 3 tests plus one per test you add, Pro opens all and lets you practise any paper. Official source 1 ↗
- NCERT lessons and Ask Tarko. Every NCERT chapter is available as a short lesson you can highlight and annotate, and you can ask Tarko to explain any line simply, with an example or in Hinglish, or send a photo of a problem you are stuck on. Official source 1 ↗
- English, Hindi or Hinglish. You can study in English, Hindi or Hinglish and switch at any time; science and maths terms stay in English as they appear in the exam. Official source 1 ↗
