What it does
Vaani AI is a voice agent platform from Vaani AI Research Private Limited, a company registered in India. You describe a phone call in plain language, and its Teacher AI builds an agent that combines speech recognition, a language model and a synthetic voice. The agent can then place or answer calls over a phone number, or in the browser. A REST API triggers outbound calls and returns transcripts, recordings and call details. It is built for sales, support and other calling teams, with automatic language and dialect switching.

- Teacher AI agent builder. Describe who to call, what to say and what counts as success. Teacher AI asks about missing details such as languages, objections and handoffs, then assembles the prompt, voice and tools. Changes appear as a diff that you approve before they are saved. - Four ways to create an agent. Start from an industry template, describe the agent in plain English, build a multi-branch flow from scratch, or import a JSON configuration for automated deployments. Official source 1 ↗
- Memories across calls. An agent can keep context from earlier calls with the same caller, including context shared by another agent. You choose how many past calls to draw on and which ones. Official source 1 ↗
- Call screening handling. When a phone screens the call, Vaani answers the screening prompt and stays on the line until the customer decides whether to pick up. Official source 1 ↗
- Multilingual voice. Agents switch automatically to the caller's language and dialect. Vaani states a p90 response latency of about 450ms. Official source 1 ↗
- Call API and webhooks. Trigger outbound calls with an agent ID and contact number, pass per-call variables into the prompt, and receive webhooks when a call starts, completes or fails. Official source 1 ↗
- Transfers and add-ons. Warm and live transfers hand calls to a person. Warm transfers are listed at ₹0.50 each, free under an early launch offer. Agents with memory are listed at ₹299 per agent, also free under that offer. Official source 1 ↗
