What it does

Singularity is an agentic development environment for building software with AI agents. It brings together a code editor, terminal, Git and ticket-based orchestration so developers can build features, fix bugs and refactor several projects in parallel.

Features

  • Ticket-based agent orchestration. Describe a feature, bug or refactor as a ticket; agents work in isolated worktrees and you inspect the changes and approve the merge. Official source 1 ↗
  • Minimal context per ticket. Each ticket starts with only the relevant skills, conventions and files injected, to keep agents from drifting. Official source 1 ↗
  • Multiple AI providers. Supports Claude, Codex, GitHub Copilot and Gemini by driving each provider's CLI, which the developer installs and authenticates. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Full IDE with integrated Git. Includes a code editor, terminals, workspaces and a Git cockpit with branches, graph, stash, hooks and review. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Multi-project and notifications. Orchestrates many repositories in parallel without leaking context between projects, and sends native notifications when an agent finishes or fails. Official source 1 ↗
  • DevOps profile (beta). When CI fails, Singularity can detect it, open a repair ticket and relaunch the deployment. Official source 1 ↗

Singularity Licence

Billing details

The licence is per workstation, the first charge comes after the 14-day trial, and it can be cancelled at any time. It does not change the core free features. Official source 1 ↗

LLM API calls go out with the developer's own key, so model usage is billed by the provider rather than Singularity. Official source 1 ↗

Free access & limits

The free plan has no limit on agents, projects or worktrees and includes language servers and the Notes plugin; paid Marketplace plugins such as Pipelines need the licence. Official source 1 ↗

Best for & limitations

A developer or small team delegates features, bug fixes and refactors to AI agents while keeping code review and Git integration in one place. Official source 1 ↗

Teams building web, desktop and API applications use it as a general development environment, with pipeline tracking as an add-on. Official source 1 ↗

  • Requires separate CLIs and Git. Git and each AI provider's CLI must be installed and authenticated separately; available models depend on those providers and accounts. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Still in beta. The product is in beta, with more AI providers to be added during the beta; beta and alpha update channels need a channel key. Official source 1 ↗ · Official source 2 ↗
  • Local data needs backups. Workspaces, projects, tickets and settings live in a local SQLite database and cannot be restored without a backup. Official source 1 ↗
